Cell-life uses Information Communication Technology (ICT) to develop solutions that support the management and monitoring of HIV/Aids in the public health sector. Our solutions have a cental focus on treatment (ART) but also cover prevention and Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) aspects. Additionally, we develop custom solutions to meet specific requirements in other arenas. All solutions fall under a Cell-Life version of the open-source software GNU GPL (General Public License), which allows for widespread public access, modification and distribution of applications in the public sector.

: iDART (Intelligent Dispensing of ART)

Specialised ART dispensing software that allows for the ease of ARV drug distribution on a large scale, from a central source; RBVCT (Remote Booking for VCT)

A module that allows a user to anonymously book for a VCT sessoin via a website or dynamic cellphone menu; PISYS (Patient Information System)

Secure interface allowing medical and administrative staff constant access to electronic patient records (under development); LAM (Laboratory Application Module)

A module that links ART sites to laboratories for direct and timely access to test results (under development); Open GIS (Geographical Information System

Access to relevant data and information in specific areas through GIS systems (under development); Reporting Module

Collective high level aggregated reporting capability, generating findings from the entire central information system (database) for admin, government or funders (under development); Aftercare

A module that caters for the remote data collections needs of homebased patient aftercare via customised cellphone menu applications; The Patient Record
Our solutions focus on the support and maintenance of the ART site patient record, ensuring operational effectiveness as well as recording historical patient data. This is carried out using a client server model.
