Tuesday, 11 December 2007 |
Four new full-time staff members joined the Cell-Life team in the last
quarter of the year bringing the total number of employees at the
organisation to 12.
Projects such as the Mass Cellphone Information Channel as well as the increasing developments on our iDART system have prompted the need for expansion and the Cell-Life team would like to officially welcome each of the new staff to the team. Below is a brief biography of the new employees:
Tshepo is Cell-Life's new training and support person. Having joined the team in July, Tshepo has been involved in implementing and supporting our current sites, most of these related to iDART. In his own words Tshepo describes himself as “tough with will”, “subtle and mellow”, “honest, enthusiastic and playful”. Tshepo also says that he is “overwhelmingly full of life”. We welcome Tshepo to the team and hope that he will grow with us into the future.
Vuyo is Cell-Life's latest addition to the mobile development team. Having joined the team in October, Vuyo has been learning his trade on the various mobile applications and technologies. Cell-Life is Vuyo's first form of employment and the team welcomes him to the family and we wish him a prosperous future with us.
“Ukwanda kwa Liwa ngumthakathi”
Khuleka joined Cell-Life in October 2007 as a Junior Administrator. She has had numerous experiences within the HIV/Aids sector and is an active member of the TAC. Her dream is to study Pharmacy or Business administration and she would love to become a CA. Kholeka also has ambitions of becoming an Economist or Industrial psychologist. She is warmly welcomed to the Cell-Life team.
- Renato Becelar da Silviera
Renato joined the Cell-Life team in October 2007 as a member of the iDART development team. He has a passion for programming and feels most comfortable when working with computers. He initially started out as a freelance developer and landed his first job at an engineering company called Ultra-flow in which he developed flash applications. He also worked for a Swiss company, Tatis, developing customs management software. Renato has worked with iDART for a few months now and states: “I have noticed the massive potential for a piece of software that can make a difference in the lives of many South African people”.
