GSM Backup Tool

One of the biggest difficulties in dealing with remote clinics is technical support. Often clinics do not have a reliable internet connection and therefore all the patient information is stored on the clinic's computer. This raises the concern of data backups.

Cell-Life has now developed a tool which uses the existing cell-phone network to backup patient and dispensing information onto the Cell-Life servers. It does this with the help of a GSM modem and some specially written software.

One of the main concerns with sending such sensitive information over the internet is security. All information that is backed up is sent using secure encryption to make sure that information cannot get stolen while 'in transit' to the Cell-Life servers.

With the help of this product technical support will be easier since the exact database information can be replicated at our offices with minimum effort. Also, the data is stored securely away from the clinic, so should an accident happen, the information can be safely restored from the latest backup.
